It’s the fastest VPN on the planet, for starters. Its popularity is not unfounded, I believe – NordVPN has some great features going for it. With the biggest YouTubers routinely singing its praises (like PewDiePie or Gus Johnson) and their fantastic marketing, it’s no surprise NordVPN consistently ranks as one of the best VPNs on the market. On the VPN scene, NordVPN is by and far the most well-known and loved provider. How do these guys still have anything resembling a good reputation online? Such a shady tactic.NordVPN is rated 1st out of 78 VPNs on The support guy then proceeds to explain that he can cancel my subscription but not give me a refund. after the website itself had already given me a clear sign that the service was canceled.
This is when I look at my email looking for the email I trew on the bin and to my surprise it was yet ANOTHER confirmation step. Wth?! I open a chat with their support line, the guy is polite enough, I explain the situation, he asks me if I can provide a screenshot of the confirmation email. Today, to my surprise I check my email and I see a receipt from Nordvpn. Later on I saw an email from Nordvpn, but didn't even open it as I considered that I did what I had to do there, and that email ended up in the bin. At this point I'm like "ok, that's done." and I moved on to whatever task I was busy with. Oh no, but there's more! After those two dodgy steps, I got a screen stating (I don't recall exactly how it was worded) that the service was canceled but I could still use it until the 5th of February.
I found it quite "amusing" that when you're canceling, the design of the website is made in a way that the "Stay safe, don't cancel" button looks like the button you'd press to continue onwards - It's highly visible and blue, and located on the bottom right corner of the page. So, yesterday I went on to cancel my subscription of nordvpn's service.
